About

The talking drum is an hourglass-shaped drum from West Africa, whose pitch can be regulated to mimic the tone and prosody of human speech. It has two drumheads connected by leather tension cords, which allow the player to modulate the pitch of the drum by squeezing the cords between his or her arm and body. Back in the Ancient days of the Ashanti Empire, it was used as a form of communication a sort of a Morse of such. The Goal of this website is to be a talking drum between Ghanaians and Non Ghanaians. A place where Ghanaians can get a sophisticated understanding of the world and where the rest of the world can get a sophisticated understanding of Ghana and the rest of Africa. The content of this sight is not event driven but though driven.
